About Padmore & Barnes

Padmore & Barnes has been a symbol of excellent shoemaking for generations. The company started manufacturing shoes in 1934 with a commitment to quality and distinction. At its peak, the Kilkenny-based plant employed over 500 people, producing 25,000 pairs of shoes per week, which were exported worldwide. In 1987, the company became independent after a management buyout. Today, Padmore & Barnes is an internationally recognised leader in designing, innovating, and has been producing casual shoes, including the original Wallabee, for over 30 years.
