They are knitted in superb wool from the Shetland Islands, a small region of the world between Scotland and Norway well known for their very small horses and also for their particular wool. Jamieson’s is a family owned business, which has specialised in wool from the native Shetland sheep for 5 generations. With more than 120 years of experience in spinning and knitting, the company is the worldwide reference for Shetland wool knitwear.

This beautiful cardigan brushed wool sweater, called “Shaggy Dog” in the US for is very textured aspect, is a classic of the Ivy League wardrobe. Both very soft and warm, this sweater will be ideal with a shirt or a simple T-shirt.

Shoulder width :
Measure between the shoulder seams measured across the back.

Back Lenght :
Measure from the centre back of the base of the collar to the hem.

Chest Circumference :
Lay the shirt buttons fastened and double the measurement across the chest between the lowest point of the arm seams.

Sleeve Lenght :
Combine the measurement from the centre of the collar to the shoulder seam and the measurement from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.

About Jamieson’s

Jamieson’s, a family-owned business for 5 generations, specializes in wool from the native Shetland sheep. In the early 1890s, Robert Jamieson began by buying knitwear from local crofters and selling it beyond the island’s shores.

Each generation brought new skills and ideas to progress the business, and in 1978, the family finally produced 100% pure Shetland yarn. In 1981, they opened "Jamieson’s Spinning", Shetland’s only commercial woollen mill that completes all stages of yarn production under one roof.

With the next generation, Peter and his son Garry, Jamieson's continues to spread its expertise and know-how around the world, making remarkable 100% pure Shetland wool garments.
