About Lock & Co

Lock & Co is a London institution founded in 1676 by Robert Davis, making it the world's oldest hatter. In 1759, James Lock inherited the company after marrying Davis' daughter, and in 1765, opened a store at 6 St. James's Street. Lock & Co is now a member of the legendary 'Tercentenarian Club' and supplies the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh. Their classical designs are well-known, but they also innovate - the first bowler hat was created there in 1850.

A card that was famously addressed 'To the best hatters in the world, London' was successfully delivered to their address.
