About François Pinton

Made in France, mythical creations

Robert Pinton started his family in the eyewear business in 1932, and in 1953, his grandson François renamed and expanded the company. A trained fashion and textile designer, François broadened the classic collections with contemporary-inspired products. François Pinton's expertise led to special orders from 20th-century icons, creating legendary models such as the "Jackie O" and "Ona" for Jackie Kennedy and Aristotle Onassis. The company's creations, whether sunglasses or prescription glasses in acetate or metal, show exceptional attention to detail. The philosophy emphasizes the importance of "atemporality," creating a life-lasting frame that transcends fashion and lasts for decades.
