Jean Touret

75,00 €

Jean Touret has been a painter, sculptor, furniture designer and creator of sacred art. After the Second World War, his singular creative adventure took root in a village in the Beauce region where he ran Les Artisans de Marolles, a cooperative known for its production of furniture and objects. His work as a sculptor and his participation in the revival of sacred art are less well known, although he is credited with major works such as the high altar at Notre-Dame de Paris. This first monograph sets out to present the different worlds in which Jean Touret flourished. It reveals a rich body of work, beating to the rhythm of humanist and poetic action, animated by a profound spiritual life.
