MACK Books : Masahisa Fukase Family

Masahisa Fukase's family ran a photo studio in the province of Hokkaido for three generations. Returning there in 1971, the photographer rediscovered a setting and a subject - the portrait of a family in constant evolution - that he would use for 18 years as a field of experimentation for a series that combines the sobriety and heaviness of the family portrait and the passage of time with the humour of its photographer.
