Jamieson’s

Jamieson’s, a family-owned business for 5 generations, specializes in wool from the native Shetland sheep. In the early 1890s, Robert Jamieson began by buying knitwear from local crofters and selling it beyond the island’s shores.

Each generation brought new skills and ideas to progress the business, and in 1978, the family finally produced 100% pure Shetland yarn. In 1981, they opened "Jamieson’s Spinning", Shetland’s only commercial woollen mill that completes all stages of yarn production under one roof.

With the next generation, Peter and his son Garry, Jamieson's continues to spread its expertise and know-how around the world, making remarkable 100% pure Shetland wool garments.
